Wendy has completed her Master in Counselling and Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. She is a Registered Counsellor and a member with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA).

Her background experience as an Occupational Therapist has provided her with experience in working with physical injuries and how this can impact one’s mental health state. Wendy has had training in chronic pain education and understands the physical and psychological difficulties for people who are living with chronic pain.

She believes chronic pain is an individualised experience which can require ongoing support rather than a restricted amount of counselling support that the Medicare Rebate can provide.

Wendy has experience in careers vocational counselling. She has supported Australian Defence Force soldiers to transition out from the Army by identifying their interests and skills into suitable work. Employment can be a difficult road to navigate on your own. Wendy can support you to discover your vocational passions and explore your employment options.

Wendy is also interested in Couples counselling. There are many aspects in supporting a relationship to work. Strong relationships involve implementing effective listening, clear communication, negotiation and regulating one’s emotions. Work together with Wendy to practice strengthening these skills within your relationship.
