Sheryl is a bilingual speaking counsellor who offers sessions in Cantonese, English and Mandarin. She has completed her Master’s in Counselling and Bachelor of Psychology. She is a Registered Counsellor and a member with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).
Sheryl is experienced with students, seniors and individuals from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds. She provides counselling services that address a range of mental health, personal, school and culturally relevant issues. She aims to assist clients in accommodating to a new environment as well as empowering them in building resilience when facing challenges in life.
Sheryl’s therapeutic approach is evidence-based; Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Mindfulness are mainly used in the sessions. She believes that each client is unique therefore therapies are tailored for each individual. She hopes her sessions would be a safe space for clients to express their thoughts and feelings without being judged.
‘Change’ is always happening in our life but the stage of transition is never easy. The stress, fear of the unknown future and lack of support could be overwhelming. Work together with Sheryl to practice the skills in adapting changes and challenges.
